Clarifier and Sludge Collection Equipment

In clarifier and sludge collection equipment, stable sludge discharge from sedimentation and thickening tanks directly impacts settling performance and the operation of the downstream sludge treatment system. Sludge that is not promptly collected in the discharge area builds up on the tank floor and adds load to subsequent treatment. Tank diameter, tank type, and treatment purpose therefore decide which scraping and thickening equipment is required.
For municipal sewage and industrial wastewater projects, we offer center-drive and peripheral-drive designs.
- Center-drive thickeners and scrapers: Suit small and medium thickening tanks. They collect sludge from the tank floor while picket fence bars promote water release, reducing the sludge volume sent to dewatering.
- Peripheral-drive clarifiers: Suit medium and large circular radial-flow sedimentation tanks. The bridge travels around the tank perimeter, continuously scraping floor sludge toward the central collection area, and collects surface scum at the same time.
The sludge scraping and thickening equipment range covers tank diameters of 5 to 55 m, and is configured to the tank dimensions, sludge characteristics, bridge structure, and control requirements.

Picket Fence ThickenerThe ZCN-type suspended center-drive picket fence thickener is a form of sludge thickening equipment specifically for small and medium gravity sludge thickening tanks at municipal wastewater treatment plants and industrial wastewater treatment projects.

Peripheral Drive ClarifierThe peripheral drive clarifier, also called a peripheral traction clarifier, serves medium and large circular sedimentation tanks with central inflow, peripheral outflow, and central sludge discharge.
